Hi, I'm Jim Schwartz!

Hi, I'm Jim Schwartz, welcome to my web page!

Born and raised in Idaho, I have lived here my entire life. If you enjoy reading good old-fashioned outdoor humor based on real life experiences, you will get a kick out of my stories and they will make you laugh out loud. One of the best compliments I have received about my books was from freelance photographer and writer, Scot Crosby, who stated "Move over Patrick F. McManus."  But I think the compliments that mean the most to me are when women tell me, "Finally, some books that my husband will sit down on the couch and read with my son." 

Stories in my books come from all walks of life, from childhood to the present, and are enjoyed by young and old alike. My readers tell me they are sucked in to the stories and feel that many of them could have been written about themselves.

My books have been called everything from Outdoor to Outhouse humor, but no matter where you decide to sit down and read them, they’re just good clean fun for readers of all ages.  The illustrations, including the covers, are drawn almost exclusively by the author’s five children and compliment the stories in a way that is sure to bring an extra chuckle or two.
